Summer is gonna be hot with In Bed by Ten returning to Spirit on Friday, July 18! DJ MB is back upstairs playing a mix of 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s tunes to make you sweat and get home early. Plus the money from your $10 ticket goes to support Spirit Walls, an annual public art project and skill sharing workshop started by local artist Brian Gonnella in 2017.

Created as a platform to increase the visibility of street art in Pittsburgh, the workshop pairs emerging artists with professional muralists for a week-long collaborative effort where artists work together to plan, coordinate and execute a massive new mural at Spirit Hall in Lawrenceville. Materials are provided and artists are given a cash stipend for their work thanks to generous contributions from sponsors, local businesses and other passionate Pittsburgers. By providing a space for artists to be in community and teach each other how to render their work in large scale format, Spirit Walls has bolstered the ranks of Pittsburgh muralists over the years and hopes to continue that mission of giving local artists a chance to showcase their work in a new format while simultaneously teaching them a valuable new trade skill for working artists.
