Curated and hosted by TIZA, a queer Filipinx DJ, SIESTA FIESTA brings the sounds of the islands and the tropics to the city.

What's usually an outdoor series takes on the nightclub at Spirit Lodge on Friday, Jan 30 at 10pm-2am, with guest DJ: pvkvsv, of the Congolese diaspora.

We're talking reggaeton, baile funk, salsa, afro beats, amapiano, and your favorite top track remixes. Plus live instrumentals from TIZA themselves. Music rooted in resistance. You don't need to understand the languages, just come with open ears and your body will speak for you.

Siesta Fiesta stands on three pillars: culture, community, and connection.

Join us on January 30th as we bring the spices and the heat to Spirit

TIZA (tee•zah) is a queer Filipinx DJ and curator breaking borders through sound, art, and community [formerly known as ms.TIZA]. They’re all about creating inclusive spaces that center BIPOC and queer joy—introducing diasporic music to global hits and curating art spaces to uplift underrepresented voices. For TIZA, the dance floor is sacred: “it’s where you lose yourself to rediscover yourself (and your people), and most importantly, it’s a space to get weird.”

pvkvsv (pah•kah'•sah) is a Congolese-American producer, curator and open format DJ who leans into anything with a solid groove.

He expands on his jazz and hip hop roots, incorporates electronic elements and leans into anything with a solid groove– rumba, flamenco, and film scores are just a few sources of inspiration but influence can be found anywhere, and the artist leaves no stone unturned.

pvkvsv is also the the co-founder of @pghopen and Brewery Sessions.
