DJ Slugo, one of the founding fathers of the musical style known as Ghetto House/Juke Music, has been beating the box for over 20 years. His musical genius is known across the world from his widely popular mixes “Where the Rats?” and “Vulture Life.”
His Ghetto style has garnered the attention of promoters and producers alike, which, along with his introduction into the rave scene, propelled him to international stardom. He continues to nurture his passion for music as founder and CEO of Blok Club DJs, the largest DJ crew in the Midwest.
Underbeat Magazine dubbed him the “ghetto father of the American dance floor.” His accolades aren’t just from his peers, but from his fans as well—he is the recipient of the Midwest Rapper’s Ball DJ of the Year award for 2009, 2010, and 2011.

Seams
Seams is the trap and club-focused alias of Depth One, a Pittsburgh drum & bass veteran with over 25 years in the city’s rave and club scenes. While Depth One has long represented the black British roots of drum & bass and dubstep, Seams was created to spotlight black American dance music. The project stitches together the legacies of Chicago house, Detroit techno, Baltimore club, Jersey club, and Atlanta trap into a high-energy, genre-blurring experience. Known for precise, in-key mixing and refined track selection, Seams is a DJ’s DJ—seamlessly weaving styles into sets that are as technically impressive as they are impactful on the dancefloor.

Naeem
DETOUR (@detourpgh) crew member and resident, Naeem (@sasb.radio), first became enamored by dance music while working at Pittsburgh radio station WRCT. Fast forward some years, those familiar with the Pittsburgh dance scene know Naeem is no stranger to the inner workings and mechanisms of the dance floor. Building off of his expanding knowledge of dance music genres and releases in recent years through Electric Cafe Records plus Lost Soul Enterprises. He continues to reference his past dance floor experiences as he hones his skills in the booth and studio.

pvkvsv
pvkvsv (pah•kah'•sah) is a producer, curator and an open format DJ who leans into anything with a solid groove. Drawing from his eclectic production inspirations, you can expect anything from trippy experimental sounds to hard-hitting breaks. In the past few years he has performed live improvised soundscape pieces for both the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh’s Performance Series and with Soy Sos & STAYCEE PEARL dance project at Kelly Strayhorn Alloy Studios. pvkvsv was also selected as a Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting’s Artist in Residency via 91.3 WYEP/ 90.5 WESA.
Being a self-taught producer, creating music was one of the few ways for him to examine and express himself. As a co-founder of Pittsburgh Open Decks, a monthly event where aspiring and experienced DJs can sign up to perform on flagship CDJs with no restriction on genre or experience level, pvkvsv aims to create more avenues for those who may lack a formal musical education to express themselves and build upon their own interest in music.
